Privacy Policy
How the firm handles website enquiries and personal information.
About This Policy
This policy explains how Sumit Kochar Advocates & Solicitors (SKAS) handles information received through www.skasglobal.com and its contact channels. It applies to initial enquiries; an accepted professional engagement may be subject to separate terms and record-keeping obligations.
Information Collected
The enquiry form collects your full name, email address, telephone number with country code, selected practice area, brief description, preferred contact method and consent. Your company or organisation is optional. The hosting service may also process IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and access times.
Use Of Enquiry Information
The firm uses information submitted through the form only to review and respond to your enquiry, including any initial conflict check needed before a response. It is not used for marketing, mailing lists or profiling. A short acknowledgement is sent to your email address. Choosing a contact method does not guarantee that a response will be made through that channel.
Recipients
Form submissions are emailed to sumit@skasglobal.com. Sumit Kochar and authorised personnel handling the enquiry may access them. Bluehost and the firm’s email service providers process information as part of hosting and email delivery. Information may be disclosed where required by law; it is not sold.
Security And External Services
The form uses a temporary security session, a hidden spam check and short-lived submission limits. The form handler does not store enquiry contents in a website database. Email copies are held in the relevant mailboxes. Externally hosted fonts and professional photographs receive technical requests when pages load; Google Maps and WhatsApp process information when their links are followed. Their own policies apply. See the Cookie Policy.
Optional Spam Verification
Cloudflare Turnstile is not currently enabled on this website. If the firm enables it, Cloudflare will process browser and technical information to verify submissions under its own privacy terms. This policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated to reflect activation.
Retention
Where an initial enquiry does not result in a professional engagement, related emails and correspondence are ordinarily retained for up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed. For this purpose, the date of the last substantive correspondence will generally be treated as the closure date. Information may be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary to comply with legal or professional obligations, perform conflict checks, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Requests for earlier deletion will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Any accepted engagement is governed by the applicable engagement and record-retention arrangements. Security counters expire after one hour and are removed during subsequent requests; session and hosting-log retention also depends on the hosting configuration. Backup copies follow the relevant provider’s retention cycle.
Your Requests
To request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw your consent, email sumit@skasglobal.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. Identify the enquiry using the email address you used, without sending sensitive documents. The firm may need to verify your identity. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out, and some records may need to be retained to meet legal or professional requirements.
Policy Updates
The firm may update this policy when its information-handling practices change. Questions may be sent to the privacy contact above.
